I Muxed It Up!

Seems that many of my colleagues have created their own muxtapes lately. The concept is simple upload a dozen mp3’s of 10mb or less to create a mixtape.

Ever the music aficionado myself I took the time to make a simple list of some of the tunes that have been occupying my airwaves lately. Give somedirection.muxtape.com a spin, let me know what you think.

I love muxtape for its simplicity. It’s the kind of app that as a web developer you say to yourself - why didn’t I think of that?

Here’s a service that’s just begging for a widget you can embed on your blog/social network.

Looks like S3 is leveraged for file hosting - smart move.

Threadless Alert!

threadless.pngMost of my t-shirts are threadless and I love them because they’re unique (maybe not as much any more but they used to be rarer). When you see someone on the street with an off-base artistic vector art design you know exactly where they got it.

On a couple of occasions I’ve seen some wearing the exact shirt I owned and I think to myself “this person must be cool”. It’s just one of those nerdy things that tell people a lot about your personality, your aesthetic sense, and also the message the shirt conveys.

But I only like to buy Threadless shirts when they go on sale - which they invariably do and I buy 5-6 at a time, it’s just good business.

Right now they’re having a spring cleaning sale - $9/shirt! It’s a deal too good to pass up.
