Maybe Apple's hoping that consumer demand will explode for more Wi-Fi hotspots due to 10 million people being stuck on AT&Ts crummy EDGE network. When coverage becomes great enough, they will release a VoIP app through iTunes that also unlocks your phone from the AT&T network.I like my theory so far, but see a revenue loss with no way to fill it (no more contract $$$s from AT&T).
